Ipod touch uses for the classroom

An opportunity for the ipod touch within the English classroom could be the use of grammatical programs to tutor writing.

In science we can play element bingo look up scientists biographies and get info on current technology. We could listen to Aussie scientists or email assignment drafts etc.

An ipod touch could be used to support the material you are teaching in class by having students look up additional information on the internet or by looking for images to support the text.

I see potential for using iPod Touches to get students learning elemental symbols and properties - e.g. app Elemental Flashcards.
Also, having a dictionary app loaded onto everyone's iPod Touches would be terrific!
There are also heaps of solar system apps but some of these seem better suited to stage 6 rather than stage 4, although there are a couple of apps that could be used by 7/8.

Stage Three mapping in maths would be a great place to use this technology.
